Im new here and so id thought i would start with some sort of thread or intro if you like. My name is Steve and I am currently the assistant coach for (a) MVWPS Seniors and (b) NUSC U12 A/coach. I have been involved with soccer now for (a) as a player for 15 years and (b) in coaching roles for 3 years. I was a member for the NDJSA in State Championships for a few years and ended up finally winning it in 1988. I think that the State Championships are one of the best comps going and i am lucky enough to have a son playing in the U12's under Ian Partridge as coach at Mt Gambier.
Now i was wondering if we have or could have an honour board since the inception of the State Championships with NDJSA Involvement with the years and age groups that we the NDJSA has won or where they finished? I think it would make for some interesting reading and maybe even some inspiration.....Any thoughts ppl!!!!!
Great idea, In recent years when Elizabeth districts competed their U11 team each year won the titles and I have heard it is something like 14 plus consecutive years. I would love to look back and see the progression district teams make as they grow as players.
By the way it was a pleasure to have your son(Jayden) in the U/12's and to see him grow in confidence and believe in himself(especially in the last game)
It was a great experience that I hope to repeat in the future.
